The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the candidates of the 148 list of the union in Erbil on Wednesday.

The ceremony held in Erbil was attended by a number of members of the Executive Council and the Leadership Council.

In his speech during the ceremony, the Secretary-General highlighted the Kurdistan Parliament elections and the necessity of the presence of the union's representatives in parliament and representing the voters of the union, in order to defend the highest values ​​and present constructive laws.

Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin appreciated the efforts of the candidates for the victory of the 148 list of the union, stressing that all the candidates of the list are a source of pride and honor.

He renewed the position of the Kurdistan Islamic Union not to participate in the new government formation of the Kurdistan Region, and will continue its role within the constructive opposition and monitor the performance of the government within parliament.
