After the sudden arrest of the famous Kurdish journalist (Islam Keshani) in Zakho and spending two days in prison, without committing any crime, thanks to Allah, with the efforts and hard work of loyalists and concerned about press freedom, at (1:30) He was released this morning (26/8).
The KIU Media Network once again emphasizes on respecting all applicable laws on freedom of the press and protecting the lives of all Kurdish journalists so that they can boldly, openly and responsibly participate in promoting political experience and strengthening the democratic system.
We would like to thank all the individuals, organizations, media and journalistic centers that sincerely expressed their concern and support for the release of Islam Keshani.
We thank all the journalists who cared about their colleague.
We thank the members of the KIU for being part of the broad campaign in support of his release.
We emphasize once again that our media workers and journalists have always been and will always be the voice of the people.
