The Kurdistan Parliament held a session today the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc announced that there is a plan to remove Islamic education from the curriculum.
Halz Ahmad, a member of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc in parliament, told a news conference on Monday that Islamic education and religious studies will be removed from the education curriculum.
She also said: We will notify the Ministry of Education if Islamic education is removed from the curriculum, we will resort to the Constitutional Court to file a complaint against the Ministry of Education.
