Statement of the meeting of the Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union.
The Executive Council of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) held its regular meeting on Monday 4/3/2024 in Erbil under the supervision of Salahuddin Mohammed Bahauddin, Secretary-General of the party, Hadi Ali, Chairman of the Leadership Council, Mohammed Ahmad, Chairman of the High Supervisory Board.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Secretary-General congratulated the coming of the month of Ramadan and asked God to make this month a month of happiness, peace, and stability for Muslims in the world and the people of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in particular.
May the month of Ramadan bring victory to the Muslims of Gaza and an end to the massacre of women, children, and civilians by the occupying Zionist regime.
In another part of the meeting, the Secretary-General of the KIU highlighted the situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region, and events and developments were discussed, to take the necessary position and identify the duties and responsibilities of the stage.
The Executive Council discussed the reports of the election committees (Erbil, Duhok, Sulaimani, and Halabja) and stressed that the Kurdistan Islamic Union continues on the (National framework project for dissatisfied votes) that is open to all dissatisfied people of Kurdistan, hoping that the election of (10/6/2024) to be the beginning of a new phase of radical change.
In another part of the meeting, while appreciating the decision of the Federal Court regarding the salary of the Kurdistan Region employees, it was emphasized that both the Kurdistan Regional Government and the central government should start distributing salaries on time.
The Executive Council appreciated the glorious anniversary of the March 5, 1991 uprising and hoped that the goals of the uprising would be implemented in practice and be at the level of the victims of our people's uprising, pointed out that after thirty-three years of liberation and freedom, it is unfortunate that our entire experience is currently going through a difficult political stage and we must deal with the situation very seriously and responsibly and resolve our internal and external problems.
