A delegation from the Kurdistan Islamic Union received, on Sunday, a delegation from the Dutch Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region.
The delegation of the Kurdistan Islamic Union consisting of the official of the Relations Office, Mohammed Haoudiani, and member of the office Abdulaziz Hashem, received the Political Officer of the Dutch Consulate General in Erbil, Mr. "Jelle-Jochem Duits".
The two sides discussed political events in Iraq, the Kurdistan region, and Iraq, and stressed the need to hold parliamentary elections in Kurdistan on the specified date.
Haoudiani presented the Union's position on the situation in the Kurdistan region and affirmed the Union's readiness to secure democracy and freedom and to hold elections under the supervision of the United Nations and international forces.
On the other hand, the Political Officer of the Dutch Consulate General in Erbil expressed his satisfaction with the position of the Kurdistan Islamic Union on democracy and human rights in the Kurdistan region.
