The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, participated on Friday in the funeral of Hajj Muhammad Bamuki, a prominent figure in Halabja and Kurdistan.
In a press conference after the funeral, the Secretary-General said that “the decisions of the Iraqi Federal Court are final and binding, and everyone must comply with its decisions.”
He stressed that "there are no good and bad decisions, but there are decisions that are in the interests of some and not in the interests of others," stressing in his response to journalists' questions that "the decisions of the Federal Court are not against the Kurdistan region."
Regarding salaries, he pointed out that “we have demanded a lot and we are still demanding, that the citizens are suffering greatly as a result of the delay in paying salaries,” explaining in his response to a question about whether the Kurdistan Democratic Party will participate in the upcoming elections, said that “the Democratic Party will participate in the Kurdistan Parliament elections.”
