The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, sent a message of congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Secretary-General said in his message, “I congratulate everyone on the advent of the month of the Qur’an and repentance, the month of giving, forgiveness, and purity of the heart, and I pray to the Almighty God to make it a season of victory over oneself and to be a month of victory for Muslims and the people of Gaza in particular.”
He added, "Ramadan is considered a complete cycle for washing away sins and balancing them with the scales of the Qur’an. Therefore, we must read the Qur’an with contemplation and with its correct intonation.”
He stressed that "the requirements of the Qur’an are to stay away from what is forbidden and follow what is lawful in all its details, with lawful speech, lawful livelihood, lawful action, lawful movement, lawful project, and lawful spending, as well as staying away from suspicions of unlawful things."
He stressed that "strategic decisions must be made for the holy month, and strategic and important decisions must be taken in your life so that they have a blessed beginning, and these decisions must be reviewed annually with the advent of the month of fasting."
He explained that “the month of Ramadan gained its importance from the Qur’an, and the Qur’an is the constitution of life, adherence to orders and a roadmap for the method of life, and fasting is an actual slogan of the message that the Qur’an revealed to humanity.”
