During his visits to Baghdad, Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), accompanied by a high-level delegation, visited the President of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, on Thursday.
The meeting discussed the political situation in Iraq and the region and discussed the latest developments.
Secretary-General of the KIU appreciated the importance of the role of the Judicial Council in resolving issues in the interests and ensuring the rights of citizens, and stressed the rule of law and independence of the courts and respect for the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region.
President of the Judicial Council expressed his pleasure with this meeting and assured that we will look at everyone with the same eyes and decisions will be issued according to the law.
