As part of his tour in the capital, Baghdad, the Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, and his accompanying delegation visited, on Wednesday, the Iraqi Minister of Justice, Khaled Shwani.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the situation in Iraq, the Kurdistan region, and the region, and highlighted the role of the courts in Iraq in resolving cases.
While the Secretary-General referred to the role of the courts in Iraq, stressing the need for competent courts to take their role in judicial files, he also appreciated the role of the Minister of Justice in resolving citizens’ cases.
Khaled Shwani appreciated the visit of the Secretary-General and his accompanying delegation, describing the role of the Kurdistan Islamic Union as important, especially the role of the Union’s representatives in the Iraqi Parliament.
