Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, participated on Saturday in the conclusion of the energies development camp held for male and female teachers in the Shamal Mufti Hall in Sulaymaniyah.
In a speech he delivered at the camp, the Secretary-General said, “We are happy with the camp’s work and the active participation of male and female teachers in the midst of this educational confusion that we are suffering from, and the influential authority bears responsibility for it.”
He added, "The essence of society's life is students and youth, and the authority should not be indifferent to the cessation of studies and the failure to meet the demands of teachers."
He stressed, "We support the legitimate demands of teachers, and the government and officials must meet all their demands so that they can continue their duty and return students to their schools."
Regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, the Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union said, “Unfortunately, the Israeli occupation forces continue to destroy the people and land of Gaza,” explaining that “what is happening in Gaza is a wonderful example of patience and confrontation since the 1940s.”
He stressed, "We have not witnessed anything similar to the struggle of the people of Gaza except during the era of the Companions, in terms of intense presence and confrontation."
