Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, sent on Friday a message of condolence for the death of Sheikh Muhammad Amin Mahmoud al-Imami.
Secretary-General said in his message addressed to his family, “With satisfied hearts, by the command of God Almighty, we received the news of the death of our dear brother, scholar and believer, Sheikh Muhammad Amin Mahmoudi,” adding, “On this sad occasion, we extend our condolences and sympathy to his family, his relatives in particular, and all the venerable scholars, his loved ones, and his disciples.”
He added, "We pray to God Almighty to forgive him and grant him the highest ranks in Paradise, and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience."
He stressed that "the deceased sheikh, during the fifty years of our knowing him, was a mass of literature, morals, knowledge and integrity," adding, "We pray to God to treat him with kindness and accept him in the highest places."
