Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union supports the demands of the Kafri demonstrators

Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, received at his headquarters in Sulaymaniyah, on Tuesday, a number of representatives of the demonstrators in Kifri.

The Secretary-General assured the representatives of the demonstrators that "your demands are right and we support you, and that the failure of the regional government is not limited to the city of Kifri, but rather to all the cities and towns of Kurdistan."

He added, "We hope that you will continue your civil protests, away from narrow partisan thinking, in order to obtain your rights and fulfill your demands, and not to despair and be patient."

He pointed out that, "Unfortunately, the differences between the two parties of power in the Kurdistan region have negatively affected all aspects of citizens' lives."

For their part, the activists and representatives of the demonstrators in Kifri expressed their thanks and gratitude for their reception and the efforts of the Garmian Center and the Kifri branch of the KIU, as well as the response of the union's deputies (Muthanna Amin and Dara Sikanyani) to their votes.

They called on the Kurdistan Islamic Union to deliver their true voices and demands to the concerned authorities through its deputies in the Iraqi parliament and its members in the Sulaymaniyah Provincial Council.
