Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), received Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), and an accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed the political situation in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the region, the Secretary-General stressed that the citizens of the Kurdistan Region in general, and employees, in particular, should not be victims of political conflicts, Unfortunately, during the 30 years of Kurdish rule, civilians have been the first victims of political conflicts, so government officials should work to ensure that people's salaries and livelihoods are outside the conflicts.
In another part of his speech, the Secretary-General of the KIU pointed out that the Kurds must prepare for any unexpected changes in the region and have a preliminary program and plan for this purpose.
For his part, the PUK leader described the role of the Secretary-General of the KIU in the political arena of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region as important and explained that the KIU has been a necessity of the Kurdistan political scene since its foundation.
