Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, participated, on Wednesday, in the meeting of the United Nations representation in Iraq and the presidency of the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting discussed the political situation, the parliamentary elections file in the Kurdistan region, and the activation of the High Electoral Commission.
During a speech at the meeting, Secretary-General stressed the position of the KIU and the acceleration of steps to hold the elections and called on the attendance to put aside differences and resolve the situation on the parliamentary elections.
Secretary-General demanded that the Presidency of the Territory continue its impartiality, and thanked the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Jeanine Plasschaert and her team.
