Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, met on Sunday with the head of the New Generation Movement, Shaswar Abdul Wahid in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and several political issues of common interest, foremost of which is the current situation in the Kurdistan region, and the problems that citizens suffer as a result of the authority's policies.
During the meeting, the visions of the two sides converged on the priority of fighting corruption in all its forms and promoting the process of reform and change in order to achieve the desired goals.
The two sides also renewed their support for the demands of employees and citizens in general, especially regarding the timely payment of salaries.
The two parties also stressed the need to hold the elections of the Kurdistan Parliament on schedule, and to consider the authority a failure in providing services and managing and addressing crises.
