Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union Salahuddin Mohammad Bahaauddin on Tuesday afternoon received the Deputy Head of the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) Alice Walpole , they discussed during the meeting the upcoming Iraqi elections scheduled for 12-5-2018.
Deputy Head of UNAMI in Iraq stressed the need for political parties to adhere to the laws and regulations in force for the election for the purpose of holding a successful election far from fraud.
Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union hoped the United Nations to watch election process and make every effort to make the process a success and reduce violations.
